Tryphena Jenkins is a highly esteemed licensed mental health counselor with over 15 years of invaluable experience in the field. Her expertise lies at the intersection of clinical psychology and applied interventions, particularly in addressing the unique challenges faced by individuals in high-stress and high-demand professions. She is a retired Major in the United States Air Force, where she was considered a subject matter expert who provided direct clinical interventions, training, and management of mental health clinics and commanders addressing work-life balance issues and work fatigue. She holds a PHD in Psychology and a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work.
Christi Lisenby Hart, MS, LPC-S, CCTP, holds a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Fayetteville State University “Bronco Pride.” Christi discovered her love for trauma work while working in substance abuse, and therefore, she has obtained her certification as a clinical trauma professional. Christi is currently a brain spotting practitioner and is currently a doctoral candidate in which she is pursuing her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervisor. Christi has been in counseling for seven years, and during this time, she also discovered that she loves to teach, mentor, and motivate future therapists. Her favorite quote is: “When you do what you love, it never feels like work.”
Jawaskie Deal, a native of New Iberia, LA, is a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor, and the owner and lead therapist at Believe Iberia Counseling, LLC, established in 2021. Jawaskie is a graduate of Westgate High School and he holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. In 2022, Jawaskie is a 2x Top 20 Under 40 honoree for both Acadiana and Iberia Parish. At Believe Iberia Counseling, Jawaskie runs a private practice that serves families and individuals aged 14 and older. He provides therapeutic intervention services through individual and family therapy, as well as crisis intervention techniques.
Jawaskie is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity INC. Chi Sigma Iota, the Louisiana Counseling Association, and a graduate of Leadership Iberia Class of XXII.
Keyonia Iglus is a New Orleans-born, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the Louisiana LPC Board of Examiners. Keyonia earned a Master of Science in Psychology from Purdue Global University in 2017. Keyonia has completed extensive training in Addiction Counseling, Multisystemic Therapy (an intensive multi-tactical treatment, assessing the impact of individual and extended systems on unhealthy behaviors), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) training (an approach that uses bilateral stimulation, as
eye movements, to help individuals heal from trauma and other disturbing life occurrences).
Her mission is to prepare individuals, or groups/families to be confident in their resources, new expertise, and reliable support team to manage improved behaviors. Toccara G. Jones is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-S). She has experience providing supportive counseling to individuals, families, and groups from middle childhood through late adulthood with presenting concerns of trauma, substance use, grief, and serious mental illness. She uses Person-Centered Therapy along with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to explore, address, and challenge underlying issues causing distress and maladaptive behaviors. It is Toccara's belief that people are equipped with unique strengths and are innately resilient in overcoming their presenting concerns.
